India's First Web TV Launch On New Year - works only with broadband 1Mbps and above

India's first Web TV "Indiavibes" will go live on 1st January, 2010. To be launched by Kochi-based Vibes Visual and Media, it will be the first such service in the country according to a report.

Indiavibes plans to create contents and programming indigenously, and users will be able to choose and watch contents of their choice on this interactive media platform. "We cover all categories fashion, music, films, business, technology, blogging, lifestyle, current affairs and almost everything that this century and the years ahead would ever need. We are focused on targeting people and not on celebrities," said Andrine Mendez, Founder Visual & Media Private Ltd.

He further added, "Our vision is to showcase the richness of India's entertainment culture to the world. We wish to make Indiavibes as its name suggests the one stop shop for all the entertainment for global audiences." While the company plans to set up production hubs at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore, it will move on to Tier I and Tier II cities later, and also set up hubs at UAE, US and UK in the near future.

Indiavibes can be seen from 1st January, 2011 by logging on to www.indiavibes.tv, but keep in mind that you will need an internet connection with at least 1 Mbps speed.
